Versatile Home Use

An exercise bike is the perfect piece of gym equipment for the home. They can literally be fitted into almost any room, as they take up relatively little space with their small footprint.

A conservatory is a good place to site your exercise bike, you can feel like you're outdoors and get the windows or top vents opened up to get some good airflow through the room too.

Whether you put the exercise bike in a bedroom, or in a lounge room between your leather recliner chairs, they just seem to fit and look like a part of the furniture. You can even put one on a landing or in a hallway, which will make excellent use of otherwise dead space.

Give some consideration to entertainment though, as it can get a little dull staring at a wall for half an hour. If you can locate the bike in front of a television you may find that you are more likely to use it often.

Best Exercise Bikes

Welcome to the exercise bikes blog, where we aim to share and inform about the benefits of working out on exercise bikes and the best types and models to buy.

There are two main varieties of bike at the most fundamental level. These are recumbent exercise bikes and upright exercise bikes. The latter category is the most common, and the most practical for most people for home use. They generally take up less space, and cheaper to purchase and are what most people would expect an exercise bike to look like. Recumbent versions on the other hand are more likely to be found in commercial gyms.

So if you are thinking about taking up a form of exercise, consider the benefits of a bike. They are low impact, you can set the resistance level to match your fitness level and they don't take up much space for use at home. Being able to jump on and do even 15 minutes a day will dramatically improve your aerobic fitness.

There are many brands on the market, but a god place to start is the popular Marcy range. Marcy produce a magnetic resistance bike that has gained many good reviews. Reebok and York both also make high quality and good value models.

Start cycling and get fit, there is no time like the present.
